I spent years working on JetBlue and love the brand, but they are testing the limits of my love today. I’ve been at JFK for 7 hours, waiting on the tarmac for about 3 hours before hearing they were canceling our flight due to a mechanical failure. All together, we've waited in at least 5 different long lines, been told a handful of different stories, and are still waiting for our plane to leave Fort Lauderdale, so it can then turn around and take us to Santiago, in the Dominican Republic. Of course that wasn’t our destination. (No more flights there) We’ll now have to drive a couple hours, through the mountains, at night, to get to our original destination, Puerto Plata. That’s where we were supposed to have a cocktail making contest and dinner on the beach tonight, with our client Brugal. To JetBlue's credit, they were offering a whopping $10 meal credit, but the line was over an hour long, so we skipped that. Add in the fact that we lost our extra legroom seats and that it’s my birthday, and we can call it a pretty bad “brand” experience.
Who wants to bet our luggage never arrives?
